Frequently asked questions
What is VRSE Pass?
VRSE Pass is a white-label digital membership pass for gyms and fitness studios. It turns a membership into a branded pass that lives in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, so members tap or scan to check in — no plastic card, no separate app.
Does it work on both iPhone and Android?
Yes. VRSE Pass supports Apple Wallet (iPhone and Apple Watch) and Google Wallet (Android and Wear OS) equally. Every member gets the same seamless check-in regardless of the phone they carry.
Do members need to download an app?
No. The pass lives in the wallet app that's already built into the phone. Members add it once and use it with a tap — nothing to download, log into, or open.
How do members get their pass?
The club sends it, typically by email or link, or via a QR code the member scans. The member taps 'Add to Wallet' once and it's saved.
Is it secure? Can a pass be shared?
Each pass is bound to the member's own device and can only be presented from it, so a forwarded screenshot won't grant access. When connected to your management system, passes also reflect live membership status, so a lapsed member's pass stops working automatically.
Does it work with ClubReady?
Yes. VRSE Pass adds wallet passes on top of your existing ClubReady account, syncing to your member records so passes issue, update, and expire automatically.
Does it work with Mariana Tek?
Yes. VRSE Pass connects to your Mariana Tek account and adds a branded wallet pass without changing how you run booking or memberships.
What about Arketa or other systems?
An Arketa integration is in progress. If you run another club management system, get in touch — VRSE Pass is built to connect to your existing platform.
How much does it cost?
$99 per month per location, billed monthly on a 12-month agreement, with no setup fee. Every location gets the full platform.
How long does it take to go live?
Most clubs are live within days, not quarters.
Can I put my own brand on the pass?
Yes. VRSE Pass is white-label — every pass carries your club's name, colors, and logo, so it feels like your brand, not a generic barcode.
Does it work for multi-location and franchise operators?
Yes. Passes are branded to your club and work across every location, updating instantly when a membership changes. There's a real-time view of activity by location.
Does the pass tap (NFC) or scan (barcode)?
Both. The pass supports a contactless NFC tap or a scannable barcode, so it fits whatever readers you already have at the door.
What are geo-fenced notifications?
The pass can send a timely, location-based message — a check-in reminder as a member arrives, or a win-back nudge when they've been away — on the lock screen, without a separate marketing app.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once added, the pass opens at the door with no signal — the credential is stored on the device.
